My Baby Girl turned 9 today. She is the happiest little thing, loves her ukulele, hamster ‘Clover’, stuffies, & shopping. Dislikes: schoolwork. 😆

Sewing Again

Felicity also wanted to try her hand at sewing. Here’s her new teddy bear, Cuddles.

This little firecracker made it!  I worried that she wouldn’t be able to do it, because she’s never tried it before, and she kept getting stuck on the top. After about 10 times, she made it the VERY last time. 

ALWAYS watch your kids at practice because you’re the 1st person they look for when they succeed!

Felicity chose to make a jellyfish for her 1st grade under-the-sea project. 

She LOVES animals of any kind...anything she can get her hands on. 

F Lost Her 1st Tooth!

While the rest of her cousins & classmates her age are looking like jack-o-lanterns, my baby kept wiggling her loose tooth. I finally gave it a tug while distracting her with the story how I met her daddy and out it popped. She cried because of all the stress & emotion. I cried because my baby is growing up. She no longer that little squishy thing that likes to cuddle with me. She’s a skinny, leggy thing that runs away from my hand to the school doors or to gymnastics with a “see ya mommy!” Ugh, times like these are tough; sad for me, but so happy for her.

Locks of Love!!

Oh these girls!!  We went in for hair trims and they both decided to chop off their pony tails to donate. F: 6.5". E: 7.5".  Not enough for a wig, but the uncolored hair would be good to make extensions out of to cut the costs of the prosthetic wigs.  Good job, girlies!

Spring Conferences

My baby is growing up!!

Felicity Turns 4

My little Joy Joy.  She's made such huge gains in 1 year.  Her favorite colors are purple & yellow, but she can recite all the colors of the rainbow in order.  She can spell her name, Mom, & Dad as well as write them.  Her BFF is her big sister and her favorite toy is Violet the Care Bear.  She loves her "pretty shoes", but only wears them with her dresses.  She likes her bugs, caterpillars, & chickens.  I so look forward to watching her grow, yet ache for her babyhood.  Happy birthday, baby girl.  I love you!

Natural Treatment for Plantar Warts

My 3 yo had a plantar wart on her foot.  Instead of treating it at the dr's (oh the drama, I could only imagine!) I researched natural alternatives.  What worked?  Banana peel, placed inside towards the skin, held on with a bandade.  We did this every night for a week.  3 wks later it turned black, died, and disappeared.  She has a tiny scar in its place, barely visible to the eye.

My Baby is Growing Up

My little Joy Joy wants to know how everything works.  She wants to write her name.  Awe...and then I asked if I could just rock-a-bye her tonight.  My baby is growing up too fast.

3 yo Well Child Check Up

Felicity had her well-child check-up today. She is at 73%~tile for height and 27%-tile for weight. 29.3#. No shots today because they didn't have the flu shot yet. We had a fun mommy-baby day with shopping (grocery, but she still has fun) and moms' bible study group before going to pick up big sister from school. My baby is getting so big!

Joy Joy Turns 3

I rarely ever see her sleep like this, but I thought it was cute since her newborn pic was similar.

My baby girl turned 3 yo today.  Just when you're pregnant with your #2 and questioning whether or not you have enough love & time to give to another child, God blesses you beyond measure.  Felicity Joy has been such a joy to the 3 of us.  She is so physically lovie and loves to smother us with hugs & kisses.  She is my outdoor girl & is always game to go "do somethin'."  She knows her ABCs, can count to 30, & can spell her name.  While her and Doc can get on each other's nerves, they love one another unceasingly.
Thank you God for this spicy little blessing.
