Before Kids...
Before kids I would see a parent in a store using those ridiculous kids carts that don't have nearly enough room for you stuff b/c 80% of the cart is a 'race car'. Or I 'd see a mom carrying a baby and steering the cart one-handed while whispering to her 3 year old that no-that lady does NOT have a baby in her tummy. I get it now:

Happy Fathers Day
Elizabeth is 3 1/2. Felicity is 11 months. David spent 1:1 time with Felicity for a few hours while Doc (what Elizabeth is insisting on being called now-a-days) and I went out. Then David got his butt handed to him by a 3 yo in a rousing game of candy land.
Felicity took 7 steps by herself today before crashing into Momma's arms and giggling with pride.
David and I were saying that she really hadn't said her 1st meaningful word yet. Elizabeth was saying 'up' when wanting to be picked up. Well tonight Felicity was standing in the window watching David go by cutting the grass and she waved as he went by saying "Dada." Shortly afterwards she was crawling down the hallway to me saying "Mama" over and over. She's changing so fast. While Elizabeth has me in stitches over how her little brain works.

Circus!
The 3 of us went to the circus (too loud for Felicity). It was so much fun seeing the amazement in Elizabeth's eyes and how much she enjoyed it. It's much more fun living it through your children!

"Shed" started ...
Last summer our cheap metal shed that came w/ the house picked up & flipped into the trees one storm. This spring we decided to replace it. After many hours at various hardware stores David said, "I can just build one, you know." So we started planning, and like the garage, the plans got bigger & bigger. He put down the base tonight & our previous 10x10 shed is now going to be 10 x 16 and we'll see how high. Can we say "more power?" (Grunt, grunt).

Homemade Greens
My chiropractor friend recommended more greens in my diet. It is so hard to get the recommended daily values so I decided to dry them (@ a low temp to avoid killing vital nutrients), use a coffee bean grinder to grind, & use a scoop in my morning smoothies. I dried chard, spinach, kale, carrots, tomatoes, & bok choy. I can definitely see why greens are expensive, it takes a lot of greens to make a little container of dried greens. I think I'll use my leafy greens from the garden this year & stock up. So many times I have an over-abundance of chard. Now I know how to preserve it better.
Follow-up: I ground my greens slightly large to put in my smoothies. If I pulverized them into a thin powder, they still didn't mix well in thin-liquid beverages and the powder got everywhere, including me inhaling it.
